“Diáspora Creativa: Edinburgh Portraits”

Subjective Atlas, Vol.XI

I visited many places,
Some of them quite
Exotic and far away,
But I always returned to myself
.”
― Dejan Stojanovic

The Edinburgh Spanish Film Festival is sending out an open call to all Spanish people living in Edinburgh that are part of the creative industry.

The photographer Ricardo Okaranza will be in Edinburgh on the 16th of May, and he is looking for volunteers to be part of his latest exhibition “Diáspora Creativa: Edinburgh Portraits” part of his “Subjective Atlas Series”, in this case the Volumen XI

Okaranza will shoot a portrait of each volunteer at the University building and will ask them for a place in Edinburgh they love and take a photograph of it for them; with both photographs he will compose a diptych. The purpose of this project is to explore and cast light upon the rich and varied creative minds that have left Spain and found inspiration in Edinburgh’s nooks and crannies.
