Agusti Villaronga's adaptation of a celebrated "dirty realism" novel by Pedro Juan Gutiérrez takes viewers on an immersive risqué tour of Old Havana.
After escaping from a youth detention centre, Reinaldo has to survive on the streets of 90's Havana. His journey is filled with both hope and disillusionment and fuelled by rum and hunger until he meets fellow survivors, Magda and Yunisleidy. Together they attempt to forget the material misery surrounding them and overcome their moral despair by living life to its very limits.

Reviews
“Agustí Villaronga invites us to immerse ourselves in the poverty that many people do not care to see – and that others prefer us not to see – of this mighty and fascinating Caribbean island”. (Alfonso Rivera – Cineuropa)
