Julián, Ramón, Juan, el Chato, Paco and Manolo are youngsters from the impoverished outskirts of Madrid who scrape by on the proceeds of their robberies, thefts, and looting. Juan is the only one with a job as a porter at the Legazpi fruit market, yet, he is the one supported by the others to make his dream of becoming a bullfighter come true. To get him the money, they commit petty robberies to pay for his debut. Eventually, things go wrong for the group marked by the tragedy of being from the peripheries.
