In the year 2000, 24-year-old Nevenka Fernández, the Finance Councillor of Ponferrada Town Council, is relentlessly stalked by the mayor, a man accustomed to doing what he wants in politics and in his personal life. Nevenka decides to report him, knowing that it will cost her dearly. Her entourage does not support her, Ponferrada society turns its back on her, and the media subjects her to a public trial. A story based on true events, turning its lead character into a forerunner of the #metoo movement in Spain due to being the first person to take an influential politician to court for sexual and labour harassment. |
