In the near future, the Spanish Government announces a referendum seeking to replace judges with Artificial Intelligence software, with the aim of automating and effectively depoliticising the justice system. The referendum sets off a fierce democratic bipartisan fight between the government allied with the creator of the system and the judges defending justice as a value exclusively human.
Carmen Costa, a distinguished judge, has been invited to assess this new procedure. However, after the disappearance of the software’s creator, Costa realises her life is in danger. In reality, this is showing only the tip of the iceberg of a conspiracy movement trying to control the national justice system.

Demonstrating a rare understanding of the power of stillness, Echegui wields it here with immense skill, control and intelligence, effectively establishing both character and motivation despite minimal dialogue. (Phillippe Cahill: FilmInk)
